Our Annual Fundraiser: Horns & Clays

 Every year, Texas Trap and Skeet hosts  the "Horns and Clays" fundraiser at Capital City Clays, our home range. In addition to a 100-target Sporting Clays event (for which there are team and individual awards), attendees may join us for lunch, participate in a silent auction, and compete in pay-per-play side games. 

Our Mission

 Shotgun sports can be costly, and the financial aspect can be a barrier for many of our members. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters and donors, we've been able to partially cover expenses for ammunition, targets, and competitions for members. By participating in our fundraiser, you can help us make shotgun sports more accessible and elevate our members' abilities.

This event is a fantastic opportunity to support TXTS and get acquainted with our members. Join us to learn more about what we do and how you can support your fellow Longhorns of TXTS. Whether you are an experienced shooter or new to the sport, we welcome all skill levels to participate in the fun. We look forward to seeing you there!

** NOTE FOR YOUTH COMPETITORS AND THEIR GUARDIANS

The University of Texas at Austin and UT Recreational Sports will not take custodial responsibility for minors while participating in Texas Trap and Skeet's Horns and Clays Fundraiser. Custodial responsibility will remain with teachers, parents, legal guardians, and chaperones. Specifically:

  • Texas Trap and Skeet will only allow minors who attend with their parent/guardian/adult chaperone access to the event.
  • Texas Trap and Skeet requires that parents/guardians/adult chaperones be present for the duration of the event. Dropping off the participating minor is not permitted.
  • Texas Trap and Skeet will turn away minors who show up for the event without their parent/guardian/adult chaperone.

Practice Location

TXTS meets every Friday of the school year at  Capital City Clays.
​*We also hold unofficial, impromptu practices that accommodate individual schedules and goals.
